Join Katherine for a 3.2 mile 475 ft elevation gain hike on the Meadow loop and Ridge Trail at the Dillon Nature Preserve in Beautiful Summit County! 

This moderate level trail will take us through mixed pine and aspen forests as well as meadows, ridgeline and along the shore of Lake Dillon. We will have beautiful views of the Snake River inlet, Buffalo and Red Mountain, and Lake Dillon. Once we reach the ridgeline there are several benches to sit on and enjoy the scenic overlooks.  The trail underfoot is a mix of typical dirt single track with embedded rocks and roots and a seldom used dirt service road for the water authority.  There are shaded areas but most of the trail will be exposed so bring your sunglasses and hat. 

Be Sure to bring your backpack and fill it with : a water bottle holding at least 32 oz of water, snacks/lunch, rain/wind jacket, warm jacket, hat, sunglasses , hiking aides ( poles, knee brace). 

There are no bathrooms at the trailhead so be sure to use one before you arrive.
