Join Blaine, Jan, Cal, Ilan and the AdventHealth oncology professionals for a Walk with Us. Team members may include a surgeon, medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, genetic counselor, social work, nurses, registered dietician, and/or physical therapy. This is an opportunity to Walk with Us and ask general questions of the cancer team. 

We’ll enjoy a nice walk along the reservoir shore in the riparian cottonwoods. Our path will include the short Prairie Loop Nature Trail with its interpretive signage and continue along the Cherry Creek trail.  Depending on the trail conditions and the group’s interests we may also do the Pope / Butterfly Hill Trail Loop. 

Where:  Enter the State Park from either the East or West entrances and proceed to the Prairie Loop Parking area on the south side of the reservoir – see maps below.

Distance: 2.5 - 4 miles depending on the group’s interests

Elevation gain: 115 feet of elevation change over about a ½ mile (4-5% slope) if we do the loop;  flat if we do an out-and-back on the Cherry Creek Trail

Dogs allowed: Yes, if leashed and well-behaved.

Toilets at the trailhead: Yes

Be sure to bring:  Water, sunscreen, hat and desire to get out and enjoy nature
