Join Laurie Goodman and Steve Stresky for a hike up Tongue River Canyon, with stunning views of the river and limestone cliffs that form the canyon. The hike will take us through parts of the restoring Elk Fire burn.

Distance: 4.8 miles, out and back
Elevation range: 4,200 – 5,150 feet

Be sure to bring:
1. Appropriate clothing for the weather
2. Water
3. Trail snacks and lunch
4. Sunscreen/sun wear/lip balm/sunglasses
Watch out for rattle snakes, ticks and poison ivy! Hiking poles are recommended for a very short, tricky rocky spot, but are also good for other sections of the trail.
