Live By Living is partnering with Grand Valley Oncology’s Supportive Oncology & Survivorship Program to bring Walk Into Wellness to Grand Junction! Walk into Wellness is a fun, social, supportive way to help you feel better and get stronger after cancer treatment. Walking has been shown to help reduce cancer-related fatigue, anxiety and depression.
Over the course of the summer, we will walk across the Grand Valley via the Colorado Riverfront Trails to promote awareness for health & healing for oncology patients, survivors and their caregivers.
Make these walks a cornerstone of your survivorship care plan! Every Thursday at 7 AM we'll meet for a 1-2 mile walk along the Colorado River. We'll enjoy the beauty of the sun on the water, watch the colors change through the fall, and make some new friends. This trail offers lots of opportunities for observing our feathered friends, from Great Blue Herons to eagles and more.
Starting location will change from week to week based on our progress.
As always, Live By Living events are open to survivors and caregivers, men and women. Kids welcome on walks and hikes.
