Experience this 4.5 mile out-and-back trail near Palmer Lake, Colorado. We'll meet at the Lake and walk through town (.7 miles) to the trailhead as a warm up and then head up to the reservoirs and back (3-3.5 round trip). Quite a bit of uphill gain at the start, but it levels off at the reservoirs and the views are stunning! No dogs allowed on this one - sorry but a town restriction due to this being the water supply for the town.
An alternate route is being offered: 1-3 miles around the lake and South on the Santa Fe Trail. This route is a mostly level dirt trail if you are looking for a more gentle walk.
We will follow this trail basically, but meet at the lot in town to walk.
Meet at the lot across from O'Malley's, on the West side of the lake. up: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fbWzcKRpZx9BRqgW9 (lot)
You can put in 305 CO 105 for directions to the lot and then park as far south as you can (photo included)
