Date of hike: May 4, 2024
Meeting time: 8:30am
Join Stephanie Lenkey Saturday, May 4, for an easy to moderate hike at Mt. Falcon Park, part of Jefferson County Open Space. We’ll start at the parking lot and hike to the Mt. Falcon overlook, then out the Devil’s Elbow loop, back on the Meadow Trail to the John Brisben Walker castle ruins, then back to the parking lot via the Castle Trail, for a total of about 3 miles.
As always, Live By Living day hikes are open to all cancer survivors and their caregivers, men and women. Regardless of whether you are currently in or out of treatment, we'd love to have you join us. If you're uncertain whether you are physically up for a hike, please call us at 303-808-2339, and we can help you decide.

MEETING PLACE: Take US285 west to the Parmalee Gulch Rd. exit and turn right onto Parmalee Gulch Rd. Follow Parmalee Gulch Rd. for 3 miles to Picutis Rd. and turn right. Take the first left onto Comanche Rd. Take the first right onto Ohkay Rd, and then take the first right onto Picutis Rd again. Follow Picutis for ½ mile, keeping left onto Nambe Rd. to Mt. Falcon Rd. Then straight to the parking lot. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the directions ahead of time as this is a tad tricky. There are abundant signs showing the way to Mt. Falcon.
We may park in the overflow lot if the main one is full. Either lot is fine, though. You can also park along the road in designated parking areas if the parking lots are full.
