Join Ed Robb and Stephanie Lenkey for a nice 2-3 mile walk, with no elevation gain, at Barr Lake State Park, northeast of Denver. We’ll be carpooling as a state parks pass is required for entry. Meet at 9:30am in the parking lot at Lowe’s Improvement Center, 4980 E. Bromley Ln., Commerce City, CO 80601. Use the Google Plus code below as the destination in Google Maps to find us.

From Lowe’s it’s about 10 minutes to Barr Lake.

Plan on about 2-3 miles round trip on a wide, flat, dirt trail.

Bring  water, hiking poles if you prefer them, and running or walking shoes. The path is wide and dirt and gravel. There are some stairs from the parking lot down to the path.

MEETING PLACE: Lowe’s Improvement Center, 4980 E. Bromley Ln., Commerce City, CO 80601. We’ll be near the east drive near the sidewalk. Take I76 northeast to the Bromley Lane exit. Take Bromley west to the roundabout, then the third right from the roundabout to Medical Center Drive. Take the first right into the Lowe’s parking lot, then the first left. Drive to the sidewalk leading into Lowe’s and look for Ed’s red Santa Fe or Stephanie’s orange Jeep/red Subaru. Click on the Map button to use Google maps to find your way.
